INFORMATION: SIGNED RIGHT BELOW In this characteristic artwork, Sotiris Sorogas transforms a humble boat into a powerful meditation on time, memory, and endurance. Through his meticulous realism and restrained palette, the artist reveals the silent poetry of an object marked by age and use. Suspended between presence and disappearance, the vessel becomes a symbol of human experience, carrying traces of history, labour, and passage. Sorogas invites the viewer to contemplate the beauty that resides in fragility and the dignity of things shaped by time.

This silkscreen reflects the artist’s restrained visual language, where the vessel is treated less as a narrative subject and more as a fragment of memory suspended in an abstracted space. Through subdued contrasts and controlled surface articulation, the composition evokes themes of passage, erosion, and stillness, characteristic of Sorogas’ poetic engagement with material and time.
