Biography

She was born in Cairo, Egypt on February 4, 1941, while in 1963 he settled in Athens. Her family came from Crete and Santorini. In Cairo she studied painting, ceramics and photography at the American College. In Greece she continued her studies at the School of Fine Arts, enriching them with scenography and decoration. Her teachers include Giannis Moralis, Giorgos Mavroidis and Vassilis Vassiliadis. She had her first exhibition in Cairo in 1962. In total she had more than 70 solo exhibitions and 450 participations in group exhibitions. He has also participated in international Biennales and Triennials. At the end of 2006 and the beginning of 2007, he held a large retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Cycladic Art. This exhibition was entitled: "The present and the recent twenty years". She was a representative of geometric art in Greece. Her creations were influenced by Arab culture but also incorporated Greek elements. "Art is dare, a constant struggle to transcend the limits of yourself."
