Galerie Lefakis is an international gallery with 6 art spaces in 4 European countries that today represents some of the most important Greek and international artists.

The Lefakis family, for five consecutive decades and through three generations, has played a leading role in the promotion of Greek art internationally. Key ingredients of the company's success are maintaining its family character as well as its dedication to its values and aesthetics.

NEW HORIZONS IN ART

The course of the business was associated with many pioneering movements for the time. Already, since the 1980s, Galerie Lefakis systematically decentralized art in Greece, opening art spaces outside the center of Athens.

This creative approach, combined with the gallery's collaboration with the most important Greek artists such as Dimitris Mytaras, Alekos Fasianos, Pavlos Dionysopoulos, Sotiris Sorogas, Costas Varotsos and others, enabled the general public to come into contact with Contemporary Greek art by integrating it into his daily life.

LEADING THE PROMOTION OF GREEK ART ABROAD

Quite early on, Galerie Lefakis also turned its attention abroad as it was one of the first Greek galleries to hold art exhibitions and auctions in Cyprus and London with great success in the early 1990s. This move resulted in the dissemination and establishment of Contemporary Greek art in Cyprus and the creation of a new art-loving audience, which has since then been steadily supporting it.

Galerie Lefakis, actively promoting Greek art abroad, created in 2019 two new art spaces in Saint Paul de Vence, in the South of France. In 2021, the new Galerie Lefakis was inaugurated in Brussels, Belgium, while in 2023, the opening of the new art space in Nicosia, Cyprus followed with success.

45 YEARS OF GALERIE LEFAKIS

Galerie Lefakis, with over 45 years of uninterrupted and dynamic presence in the art scene, leads the Greek and European art market, while at the same time it has become one of the most popular and beloved art institutions in Greece and abroad.

During these five decades Galerie Lefakis has evolved and turned its attention to the international art and commercial scene, expanding the boundaries of its commercial activity.
